In 2009, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design wrote a proposal to demolish 2538, a house on their campus for a surface parking lot. They presented this proposal to the Minneapolis Historic Preservation Commission, it was deliberated then was rejected.
"Memory of 2538" is specifically exploring cognitive function of memory and the relationships it has to the house and it's own history. In this project a room in 2538 was chosen and black paper was placed over the windows obstructing all light from outside the room. Holes were then punched into the black paper making the room act as a pinhole camera. This room essentially becomes the eyes of the house, giving people inside the house the ability to record perceptions and memories of the house.
